SYMPTOMSWhen you browse to a Microsoft Office 2000 document through the HTTP protocol in Internet Explorer 5.0, make edits to the document, and then attempt to save it back to the Web, the Save option is disabled (grayed out). In many cases, if you attempt to use the Save As option, one of the following error messages occurs:
CAUSEThe feature to save a Microsoft Office 2000 document to a FrontPage Web is disabled if the Microsoft Office 2000 application is started within Internet Explorer 5.0. WORKAROUNDTo save a Microsoft Office 2000 document to a FrontPage Web, open the document in the appropriate Microsoft Office application and save it using Web Folders. For example, if the document you are saving is a Microsoft Word document, use the following steps:
