SYMPTOMSWhen you modify or replace an image associated with a web page, the image may appear to be distorted when you view the page in a browser. CAUSE
When an image is inserted into a web page, the dimensions of the image are
stored within the <IMG> tag in the HTML code.
WORKAROUNDTo work around this problem, reopen the page in FrontPage Editor and save it to the web. This action will update the height and width attributes associated with the <IMG> tag. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft FrontPage 97 for Windows with Bonus Pack. MORE INFORMATIONWhen you use specific dimensions with the <IMG> tag, the page is displayed faster because the browser reserves the appropriate amount of space on the screen for loading the image.
