FP1: TCP/IP Test Reports 127.0.0.1 as IP Address

SYMPTOMS

When you run the TCP/IP test in FrontPage Explorer, the test returns the following local host IP address rather than the real IP address:


   127.0.0.1. 


RESOLUTION

To determine your real IP address, point to Control Panels on the Apple menu, and then click TCP/IP.

You can also contact your Internet service provider or network manager to find out what your IP address is.


STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
