FP: Cell Background Color Doesn't Appear w/ Transparent Image

SYMPTOMS

If you are using a transparent GIF image in a cell with a specified background color, the page background color appears rather than the background color of the cell.

RESOLUTION

This behavior only appears in FrontPage Editor. The page shows correctly in the browser.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft FrontPage 98 for Windows.
