SYMPTOMS

In the Microsoft Access Workflow Designer Developer's Guide Help system, modAppOwner is described as both a Microsoft Windows NT local group and as a database role.

modAppOwner is referenced in these two topics:

  • Installation Prerequisites


  • Security Categories in Access Workflow Designer


However, this local group and database role does not exist.


RESOLUTION

The proper local group and database role is modAppOwners.

To see the actual name

  1. On the server, open Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise Manager.


  2. For the current Microsoft SQL Server, click Databases.


  3. Click the object corresponding to the modSystem database.


  4. Click Users.


  5. View the list. Note that modAppOwner is not in the list, but that modAppOwners is.
