Moderate: Requires basic macro, coding, and interoperability skills. SYMPTOMSWhen you use the Package and Deployment Wizard to package an Access run-time application, Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 is installed along with your run-time application. MORE INFORMATIONMicrosoft Access 2000 must have Internet Explorer 5 installed for hyperlinks and data access pages to work properly. Microsoft Access 2000 also uses several of the Internet Explorer Library files for the file opening and browsing dialog boxes. For these reasons, the Access 2000 Run-Time requires Internet Explorer. The minimum requirement for Access 2000 without support for data access pages is Internet Explorer version 3.0. The decision was made to include the current version of Internet Explorer to remain compatible with Office 2000. If other Internet browsers are installed, Internet Explorer 5.0 does not become the default browser, thus leaving all other Internet browser functionality intact. Internet Explorer 5 does upgrade any earlier Internet Explorer installation to version 5.0.
