SYMPTOMSWhen you try to reinstall Microsoft Office 2000, an error message similar to the following appears: This message appears even if you are making no changes to your installation of Office. CAUSEThis error message appears when the following are both true:

For the Setup program to continue, check to make sure that you have at least 50 MB of free disk space. If you are running low on disk space, delete any files or folders that you are not using and empty the Recycle bin to create more available disk space. Then re-run Office Setup to reinstall or repair Office.
If you want to continue without rollback, click Ignore. Otherwise, click Cancel, free some more disk space, and re-run Office Setup to reinstall or repair Office. If you are running Windows 98, you can free disk space by running the Disk Cleanup program included in the System Tools folder.
