SYMPTOMSWhen you run the Office Setup program and choose Remove Office, error messages similar to the following will appear, depending on the installation source. Installed from CD-ROMWhen you click OK, the following error appears:

CAUSEThese error messages occur when you do the following when installing Office:
-and- -and- RESOLUTION
To continue Setup without these errors, you must insert your Office disc into the CD-ROM drive, or restore network connectivity before the Windows Installer can continue. You cannot remove Office in these cases when any components are registered to run from the CD-ROM.
