SYMPTOMSWhen you upgrade to Office 2000, the Task Scheduler may be started. This occurs even if the Task Scheduler was turned off prior to installing Office. CAUSEThis behavior occurs when you install Office and you choose to install Microsoft Internet Explorer 5, or you already have Internet Explorer 5 installed. WORKAROUNDTo work around this behavior, turn off the Task Scheduler after you install Office. To do this, follow these steps:
