NOTE: Microsoft Office 2000 has built-in functionality that allows you to get more information about difficult-to-troubleshoot alerts or error messages. CAUSEThis error message occurs when a program is using the files necessary for the installation to complete. WHAT TO TRYCheck the Task ListCheck the Task List for any programs that are marked as "not responding." To check for these tasks in Microsoft Windows 95 or later, press CTRL+ALT+DEL. To check for these tasks in Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 press CTRL+ALT+DEL and click Task Manager. If any tasks are found to be "not responding," select the program in the list and click End Task.
