ERROR MESSAGEWhen you create a new document as the target of a hyperlink, you may receive the following error message: NOTE: Microsoft Office 2000 has built-in functionality that allows you to get more information about difficult-to-troubleshoot alerts or error messages. If you want to enable this functionality for this and other error messages in Microsoft Office 2000, please download the Microsoft Office 2000 Customizable Alerts file from the Microsoft Office Update Web site at the following address: http://officeupdate.microsoft.com/2000/downloadDetails/alerts.htmNOTE: If you reached this article by clicking the Web Info button in an error message, you already have Customizable Alerts enabled. CAUSEYou may receive this error message when you attempt to create a new document from the Edit Hyperlink dialog box if the file name contains an at sign (@). If you type an at sign in the Name of new document box in the Edit Hyperlink dialog box, Office will automatically convert it to an email hyperlink. When you click OK, you will receive this error message. WHAT TO TRYSpecify a file name that does not use the at sign (@). Additional query words: OFF2000
