CAUSE

This problem will occur when you click the History folder in the Save As dialog box and then attempt to save your Office document.

WHAT TO TRY

The History folder extends the functionality of the most recently used (MRU) file list. This folder contains shortcuts to documents you have worked on in the Office programs. The History folder, actually named Recent, is located in the C:\Windows\Application data\Microsoft\Office\Recent folder. However, you cannot save files to this folder. This folder is reserved for managing shortcuts to files used in Office and cannot be written to from any Office program.
