ERROR MESSAGE

You may receive the following error message:
The filters required to perform this search could not be installed. The search cannot be completed as specified.

CAUSES

This problem occurs when the following conditions occur:
  • You use the Find command in the File Open dialog box of any Office program.


    • -and-

  • Either the converters for the Search Tools feature or the Find Fast search engine feature is not installed.


    • -and-

  • When prompted to install the search feature, you click No.


WHAT TO TRY

After you have specified the find criteria and you click Find Now, you will receive the following message:

This feature is not currently installed. Would you like to install it now?
Click Yes to install the search filters.
