SYMPTOMSWhen installing Office, the UserName and CompanyName fields are filled in, even if you use a command line switch or transform(.mst) file to suppress these fields. CAUSE
This will occur when you attempt to set the UserName and CompanyName properties to blank, either by using a command line, or by specifiying the settings in the setup.ini file. For example, if you use the following command line to start Office Setup the UserName and CompanyName fields are still populated. RESOLUTIONTo set the UserName and CompanyName properties to blank, use the NoCompanyName and NoUserName properties. These properties can be used either on the commmand line, in the setup.ini file, or in a transform (.mst) file. When using these properties, they must be set to one (1). For example, if you use the following command line to start Office Setup: the UserName and CompanyName fields will be suppressed. REFERENCES
