The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSIf you insert an autoshape from the Clip Gallery More Autoshapes selection, the autoshape may not be inserted into your Microsoft Office application, or the autoshape may be inserted into another application that is minimized or in the background. CAUSEIf you click More Autoshapes on the Autoshapes menu of the Drawing toolbar, Clip Gallery will open in a small window. If you change to another Office applciation, the Clip Gallery window will remain visible in the foreground. However, if you select an autoshape and then click Insert, the autoshape will be inserted into the original application that was used to open the More Autoshapes window, and not the application currently displayed. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, use one of the methods listed. Method OneIf you use the drag and drop technique to move the autoshape to the active Office application, the autoshape will insert successfully.Method TwoClose Clip Gallery, and reopen it in the foreground application.
