CAUSE

You may receive this error if you created the transform using the Custom Installation Wizard (CIW) on a computer running an operating system other than Microsoft Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows NT 4.0.

WORKAROUND

To prevent this error from occurring when you use the transform, follow these steps:

  1. Install the CIW on a computer using Windows 95, or 98, or Windows NT 4.0.

  2. Start the CIW.

  3. In the Open the MST File dialog box, click to select Open an existing MST file.

  4. Locate and select the transform (.mst) you created previously. Click Next.

  5. In the Select the MST File to Save dialog box, click Finish. This saves your transform again in the correct format without making changes to the transform content.

  6. Run Setup using this newly saved copy of the transform.
