WORKAROUND

To work around the problem, use the default Windows keyboard driver by doing the following steps:

NOTE: Resetting the Windows keyboard driver back to its default setting may affect the functionality of your computer.

  1. On the Windows taskbar, click Start, and then click Run.

  2. Type System.ini in the Open box and then click OK.

  3. The System.ini file is opened in Notepad.

  4. Scan the [boot] section of the System.ini file for the line that sets the Windows keyboard driver. It looks similar to the following statement:
    keyboard.drv=kb123.drv

  5. Type a semicolon (;) at the beginning of the keyboard.drv line. Insert a new line just after the existing keyboard.drv line.

  6. Type the following value to reset the keyboard driver back to its default setting:
    keyboard.drv=keyboard.drv

  7. Click Save on the File menu.

  8. Restart your computer.
