SYMPTOMSWhen you try use Help in any of the Office 2000 programs, either the Help window does not appear, or no results are returned when you search Help. CAUSEThis problem occurs when the Msohelp.exe file is not registered. WORKAROUNDTo correct the problem, do the following: Register the Msohelp.exe File
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\1033\Msohelp.exe" /regserver Run the Internet Explorer 5 Repair ToolIf registering the Msohelp.exe file does not correct the problem, try running the Internet Explorer 5 Repair Tool.
Remove and Reinstall HelpIf Help still does not work correctly, run the Office Setup program in Maintenance Mode and remove Office.
Remove the HelpViewer Registry KeyWARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.For information about how to edit the registry, view the "Changing Keys and Values" Help topic in Registry Editor (Regedit.exe) or the "Add and Delete Information in the Registry" and "Edit Registry Data" Help topics in Regedt32.exe. Note that you should back up the registry before you edit it. If you are running Windows NT, you should also update your Emergency Repair Disk (ERD). If Help still does not appear, delete the following key from the registry: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Common\HelpViewer
