Complex scripts functionality is available when you use the Office Language Settings tool to enable a language, such as Arabic or Hebrew, that requires this functionality. For more information about multilingual features, click Microsoft <your Office product> Help on the Help menu, type multilingual features in the Office Assistant or the Answer Wizard, and then click Search to view the topics returned. SYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Word 2000, the dictionary feature may not work after you upgrade from a Hebrew or Arabic version of Microsoft Office 95 to a left-to-right (non-bidirectional) version of Microsoft Office 2000. WORKAROUNDTo use Arabic or Hebrew dictionaries in Office 2000, either obtain the localized version of Office (that is, Arabic or Hebrew Office), or install the Microsoft Office 2000 MultiLanguage Pack, which includes Arabic and Hebrew proofing tools. When using the MultiLanguage Pack, you must turn on the appropriate language in the Office Language Settings before using it in Office 2000.
