CAUSE

This error message may appear if both of the following are true:

  • You specified an existing .cmw file in the Open the CMW File dialog box of the Custom Maintenance Wizard.

  • -and-

  • You specified an .msi file for an Office 2000 product that is different from the .msi file you specified when you originally created the .cmw file.

RESOLUTION

  1. Click Back in the Open the CMW File dialog box.

  2. In the Open the MSI File dialog box, click Browse. Then locate and select the .msi file for the Office 2000 product you used when you created the existing .cmw file.

  3. NOTE: If you used the Custom Maintenance Wizard on the same computer on which you created your existing .cmw file, click the list for Name and path of MSI file to open. The list will contain all the .msi files that were selected previously in the Custom Maintenance Wizard.

  4. Click Next.

  5. Click Open an existing CMW file in the Open the CMW File dialog box.

  6. Click Browse. Then locate and select the .cmw file you want to use.

MORE INFORMATION

The .cmw file created by the Custom Maintenance Wizard can only be used with the Office 2000 .msi file you used when you originally created the .cmw file.
