OFF97: Cannot Unhide the Office Shortcut Bar

SYMPTOMS

The Microsoft Office Shortcut may not become visible (unhidden) when you move the pointer to the edge of the screen.


CAUSE

This problem may occur if the following conditions are true:

  • You install Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.0.

    -and-


  • Symantec WinFax Pro Fast Start 7.0 is running.

    -and-


  • You are using the Auto Hide feature of the Office Shortcut Bar (right-click the Office Shortcut Bar and click to select Auto Hide).


WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, close WinFax Pro Fast Start. When Fast Start no longer appears on the Windows task bar you can unhide the Office Shortcut Bar.
