About Crystal Reports for Microsoft Outlook 97

Crystal Reports for Microsoft Outlook 97 add report design and viewing capabilities to Microsoft Outlook 97. There are two components:

The Crystal Reports Designer, which you can use to build, manipulate, and format reports

The Crystal Reports Analyzer, which you can use to view reports that use data in Microsoft Outlook 97

When Microsoft Office 97 was first released, registered users of the Microsoft Office Resource Kit 97 were able to download Crystal Reports for Microsoft Outlook 97 from the Microsoft web site. This option is no longer available.

However, you can still obtain Crystal Reports from the compact disc that is included in the printed edition of the Microsoft Office 97 Resource Kit, or directly from Seagate Software.

If You Have the Printed Edition of the Office 97 Resource Kit

The printed edition of the Microsoft Office 97 Resource Kit includes a compact disc that contains Crystal Reports for Microsoft Outlook 97. You can install Crystal Reports by following these steps:

Insert the Tools and Utilities compact disc into your computer's CD-ROM drive.

Using the Windows Explorer, go to the Outlook\Crystal folder on the compact disc.

To install the Crystal Reports Designer, double-click Crwsetup.exe, and follow the instructions on the screen.

To install the Crystal Reports Analyzer, double-click Cvwsetup.exe, and follow the instructions on the screen.

You can also copy the Outlook\Crystal folder to your hard disk or to a network drive, and then run the programs from there.
