OFF97: Some Files Remain in Office Folder After You Click Remove

SYMPTOMS

When you click Remove All in the Microsoft Office 97 Setup dialog box, some files and folders in the Microsoft Office folder are not deleted.

CAUSE

This problem will occur when the following conditions are true:

• You have installed Microsoft Office 97 for Windows, Service Release 1 (SR-1) Enterprise Update.
  
  -and-



• You have installed Microsoft Word 97 for Windows, Service Release 1 (SR-1) Enterprise Update.
  
  -and-



• You have installed the Microsoft Office 97 Service Release 2 (SR-2) Patch or the Microsoft Office 97 SR-2 Replacement CD.
