Installing Default Save Files in an Administrative InstallationIf you perform an administrative installation of Microsoft Office 98, you can automatically set default save formats for your users by dragging the Default Save files from the Microsoft Office 98 compact disc to the appropriate Startup folders on the network server.You can include Default Save files in an administrative installation of Microsoft Office 98 Macintosh Edition by following these steps:
NOTE: If a user installs Microsoft Office 98 by running the Microsoft Office Installer program, the Default Save files are not installed on the workstation computer. If this occurs, you must provide the user with manual instructions for installing the Default Save files. Using Default Save FilesAfter you install Default Save files and you then start a program and save a file, the file is saved by default in the format that is specified by the Default Save file in the Startup folder for the program you are using.
