CAUSE

This problem may occur if you run multiple wizards or add-ins and you are using the default memory settings for the Office 98 program.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, increase the preferred memory size by 2,000 kilobytes for the affected Office program.

The following example shows you how to increase the preferred memory size for Microsoft Excel. To do this, follow these steps.

  1. Quit Excel if it is currently running.

  2. Double-click the Microsoft Office 98 folder on your hard disk.

  3. Click the Microsoft Excel icon.

  4. On the File menu, click Get Info.

  5. Increase the number in the Preferred Size box by 2000.

  6. Close the Microsoft Excel Info window.

NOTE: Each additional wizard and add-in uses additional memory, so it may be necessary to further increase the preferred memory size of the affected Office program.
