When you view the memory settings in the About This Computer dialog box,
the value listed for Microsoft Office 98 Macintosh Edition programs may be
less than the Preferred Size setting for the programs. Usually, this value
will be no higher than 28 megabytes (MB).
CAUSE
The value listed in the About This Computer dialog box may be incorrect if
both of the following are true:
RESOLUTIONThere are two ways to resolve this problem. Turn on Virtual MemoryIf you use Virtual Memory to manage the memory on your computer, you will not encounter this problem. To turn on Virtual Memory, follow these steps:
Change the Minimize Size SettingIf you set the Minimize Size equal to the Preferred Size for your program, you will not encounter this problem. To do this, follow these steps:
