OFF98: Graphics in Files Imported from Windows Are Wrong Color or Are Mapped Incorrectly

SYMPTOMS

When you import files from Windows, you may notice the following problems with graphics:

  • A 24-bit image is displayed as an 8-bit image


  • Symbols in Windows OLE objects are converted incorrectly


  • Accented characters in pasted pictures are converted incorrectly
