OFF98: FileMaker Database Remains Open After Importing Data

SYMPTOMS

When you use the FileMaker Wizard to import data from a FileMaker Pro database, the database remains open in Filemaker Pro after the data is imported into your document.

CAUSE

The database will remain open if you started FileMaker Pro before you started the FileMaker Wizard to import data into your Microsoft Word document or your Microsoft Excel worksheet.

WORKAROUND

You must close FileMaker Pro before you start the FileMaker Wizard if you want Excel or Word to automatically close your database when you import data from FileMaker Pro.
