SYMPTOMSIf you have Multiple Users enabled, when you perform a search in the Find File dialog box, you may temporarily see files to which you do not have access in the Listed files box. CAUSEThe Mac OS does not necessarily hide files to which you do not have access. It just denies read/write access. MORE INFORMATIONMac OS 9 has a new feature called Multiple Users that allows you to create users with restricted access to the computer. For the most part, users are restricted to their Documents folder, which is located in the <hard drive name>:Users:<user name> folder. Please see the Mac OS 9 Help documentation for more information.
