The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSWhen you double-click a Microsoft Excel chart in the business plan compound document file (OABPLAN.DOC), make changes to the workbook file, and save the file with another name, the changes are not updated in the chart, and when you double-click the chart again, the linked workbook does not contain the changes that you made. CAUSEThis behavior occurs because the links in the compound documents that ship with the Microsoft Office Assistant are manual. Therefore, the links do not automatically update to the new filename when you save the linked file with a new name. Instead, the chart or worksheet object remains linked to the original workbook file. WORKAROUND
When you have saved a linked file with a new filename, do the
following to update the linked information in the compound document:
