SYMPTOMS
When you add a toolbar to the Microsoft Office Shortcut Bar, the toolbar
folder may not appear in the Shortcut Bar folder when you view the folders
in Windows Explorer or My Computer.
CAUSEThis behavior occurs when you create a toolbar for an existing folder. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available. MORE INFORMATIONWhen you choose to add a toolbar to the Office Shortcut Bar, you have the option of either making a toolbar for an existing folder, or making a new blank toolbar. New Blank ToolbarWhen you add a new blank toolbar to the Office Shortcut Bar, a folder for this toolbar is created in the Shortcut Bar folder. For example, if you add the toolbar "My Files" to the Office Shortcut Bar, the folder "My Files" is created in the Shortcut Bar folder. Additionally, the Office folder for the Office toolbar that ships with Microsoft Office is available in the Shortcut Bar folder. However, not all of the toolbars on the Office Shortcut Bar are located in the Shortcut Bar folder in the Office folder.Existing FolderWhen you create a toolbar for an existing folder, a folder for this toolbar is not created in the Shortcut Bar folder.Additional query words: 8.00 97 OSB
