SYMPTOMS
When you save a file with the filename enclosed in quotation marks, such as
"Test.abc", if you then click an item in the Save As Type box, the filename
within quotation marks changes.
CAUSE
Normally, when you save a file using the Save As dialog box, the filename
extension changes to match the file type listed in the Save As Type box.
If you change the extension or add an extension, the default extension is
appended to the new extension.
Q131161 OFF95: Default File Extension Added to Filename Using Save AsYou can avoid having the additional extension added to your filename by enclosing the filename in quotation marks. However, if you change the item selected in the Save As Type box after you enter the filename, the extension on the filename changes, even when the filename is enclosed in quotation marks. RESOLUTION
To prevent the filename extension that you enter in the Save As dialog box
from changing, select the file type first by clicking the desired type in
the Save As Type list, before you enter the filename in the File Name box.
