SYMPTOMS
When you use Microsoft Word version 7.0, you can click AutoCorrect on the
Tools menu and choose to replace the period with a period followed by a
space. Making this change to AutoCorrect means that you do not need to
press the SPACEBAR after you type a period at the end of a sentence.
CAUSEAutoCorrect is a shared feature in Microsoft Office for Windows 95 programs. Any change you make to AutoCorrect is reflected in all Microsoft Office programs that use AutoCorrect. RESOLUTIONIf an undesirable side-effect occurs in a program due to AutoCorrect, undo the change or disable AutoCorrect in the affected program. To disable the feature, click AutoCorrect on the Tools menu, clear the Replace Text As You Type check box, and click OK. STATUSThis behavior is by design of the AutoCorrect feature.
