OFF98: Thick Line Styles May Appear Differently in MS Office 98

SYMPTOMS

When you open a file that contains a line drawing object in a Microsoft Office 98 Macintosh Edition program, the line style may appear to be different from the style you expect.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs when the following conditions are true:

• You create a file that contains a line drawing object that is formatted as a thick, dashed line in a Microsoft Office 4.2.x program.

• You open the file in a Microsoft Office 98 program.

STATUS

This behavior is by design in the Microsoft Office 98 programs listed at the beginning of this article.
