ID: Q195497

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Outlook 2000

NOTE: These procedures only apply if you have installed Outlook with the Internet Mail Only option. To determine your installation type, on the Help menu click About Microsoft Outlook. In About Microsoft Outlook you should see "Internet Mail Only" if you have the Internet Mail Only option installed.

SUMMARY

The information in the "Remove a form from a forms library" Help topic does not apply to the Internet Mail Only installation option (IMO) of Microsoft Outlook 2000.

MORE INFORMATION

The Help topic information incorrectly refers to the Custom Forms and Manage Forms buttons that are only available in the Corporate or Workgroup installation.

In the IMO installation, you cannot delete a custom form. If you want to replace a custom form, you can create a new form which uses the same name and publish it in the same folder as the original.

NOTE: If you switch to the Corporate or Workgroup installation type, you obtain the ability to manage your custom forms. Microsoft recommends that if you do switch, you do not switch back.

To locate the Help topic, follow these steps:

  1. On the Help menu, click Contents And Index.

  2. On the Contents tab, double-click Customizing Microsoft Outlook.

  3. Double-click "Using Forms to Organize and View Items."

  4. Click "Remove a form from a forms library," and click Display.

NOTE: If you do not have the Customizing Microsoft Outlook topic, you did not add the Development Tools component.
