OL2000: Calendar Time Font Size Does Not Change

ID: Q195960

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Outlook 2000

SYMPTOMS

If you change the Time Font size in the Day/Week/Month view of the Microsoft Outlook Calendar, the size does not change on the Calendar Time Bar.

CAUSE

The Time font specifies the font for hours on the Calendar time bar when viewing days. While you can change the Time font name and size, changes to the size are not displayed on the time bar. The Calendar time bar always displays the Time font size as twice the Day font size. The Day font is the font defined by the Font button in the Day area of the "Format Day/Week/Month View" dialog box.

RESOLUTION

To change the Time font size on the time bar, set the Day font size half as large. For example, if you want the hours on the time bar in a 32-point size, set the Day font to 16 points. To change the Time font size, follow these steps:

  1. On the View menu, point to Current View, and then click Day/Week/Month.

  2. On the View menu, point to Current View and click Customize Current View.

  3. In the View Summary dialog box, click Other Settings.

  4. Under Day, click Font.

  5. In the Size box, type or select a point size half as large as you want for the Time font.

  6. Click OK to return to the "Format Day/Week/Month View" dialog box. The Time font may not indicate the correct size in this dialog box; however, it will be displayed on the time bar at twice the size that the Day font indicates.

  7. Click OK twice to return to the Calendar.
