SUMMARY
Microsoft Outlook can take advantage of duplex printers to automatically
print a series of pages on both sides of a sheet. This article discusses
how to print on both sides of the sheet even if your printer does not
have duplex capability.
MORE INFORMATION
Outlook can properly align calendar pages and alphabetical contact lists
for printing in the correct sequence, even if you use paper and page size
formats that print multiple pages on a single sheet.
Printing on both sides of the sheet without a duplex printer requires three
steps:
- Print the odd pages.
- Reverse the sequence of the output.
- Print the even pages.
To Print the Odd Pages
- Click to select the folder containing the items you wish to print.
- On the File menu, click Print.
- Under Print Style, click to select the style you wish to use,
and click, Page Setup.
- On the Paper tab, click to select the Paper Type and Page Size you
want to use and click Print.
- Under Copies, click to select Odd from the Number Of Pages list, and
click OK. The printer will print a series of pages starting with page
one.
To Reverse the Sequence of the Output
- Shuffle the printed output so that the top page is on the bottom and
the bottom page comes to the top.
- Place these shuffled pages back in the printer input tray, so they
will be printed on the blank side.
To Print the Even Pages
- On the File menu, click Print.
- Under Copies, click to select Even, from the Number Of Pages
list, and click OK.
In the resultant printout, each odd-numbered page will have the next
even-numbered page printed on its reverse side. This will be true even if
you chose a format that has multiple pages on each sheet of paper.
