OL2000: Changes Made to a Post Form Are Not Saved Unless Published

SYMPTOMS

You find that changes you made to the Post form are not shown when you reopen the form to create a new Post.


CAUSE

You made changes to the Post form while in design view with the form option, Edit Read Page, selected.


RESOLUTION

To save any changes you make to a Post form, you must publish the form to the Personal Forms Library, Outlook Folders, or another folder. You must then open the form from the published location.

Before changing the form, select the option to Edit the Compose Page while in the design view.

To save changes to a Post form, follow these steps:

  1. On the Tools menu of the modified form, point to Forms, and click Publish Form As.


  2. In the Look In list, click to select the Library or folder into which you wish to save the form.


  3. Type a name for the Form and click Publish.


To select Edit Compose Page, follow these steps:

  1. On the File menu, point to New, and then click Post In This folder.


  2. On the Tools menu in the Post form, point to Forms, and then click Design This Form.


  3. On the Form menu, click Edit Compose Page.


Make the necessary changes to the form, and then publish to the desired location.
