SUMMARY

In Microsoft Outlook, you can quickly access logical sets of appointments, contacts, and tasks using inserted shortcuts to link these items together.

To insert a shortcut into an appointment, contact, or task, follow these steps:

  1. Open an appointment, contact, or task.


  2. On the Insert menu click Item.


  3. In Look In, click to select Calendar, Contacts, or Tasks.


  4. In Items, click to select the target appointment, contact, or task.


  5. In Insert As, click to select Shortcut.


  6. Click OK.


Double-clicking the inserted shortcut will take you directly to the target appointment, contact, or task.

You can use this technique to link together any combination of appointments, contacts, and tasks.
