SUMMARY

This article describes how you can easily determine the amount of disk space your mailbox uses on your Microsoft Exchange Server.

MORE INFORMATION

To see the amount of space your mailbox uses, follow these steps:

  1. In the Folder List, right-click "Outlook Today - [Mailbox - Your Name]" and then click "Properties for 'Mailbox - Your Name.'"

  2. On the General tab, click Folder Size.

Outlook begins calculating the size of each folder. When the calculation is complete, the total size in kilobytes of all folders and subfolders is displayed, along with a list of each individual folder and subfolder and the size of each. The total size in kilobytes is the size of your mailbox on your Microsoft Exchange Server.

The size of Personal Folders, if any, is determined in the same manner. In the Folder List, right-click Personal Folders, click "Properties for 'Personal Folders,'" and click Folder Size on the General tab.
