NOTE: These procedures only apply if you have installed Outlook with the Corporate Workgroup/Other option. This option allows you to use Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) services. To determine your installation type, on the Help Menu click About Microsoft Outlook. In About Microsoft Outlook you should see "Corporate" if you have the Corporate Workgroup installation. SYMPTOMS
When you attempt to update a task in Microsoft Outlook, you may
receive the following error message:
CAUSEThe Microsoft Exchange Server Mailbox, or the Tasks folder on the server, is corrupted. RESOLUTION
Choose one of the following methods to correct this problem.
Method 1: Delete and Recreate the Tasks FolderTo workaround this behavior, you may delete and recreate the Tasks folder, without affecting any of the other folders on your Mailbox. To do this, follow these steps:
Method 2: Create New MailboxQuit Outlook and have your server administrator remove the mailbox on the server, and then create a new mailbox. NOTE: Do not import any of the previous data into the new mailbox. Additional query words: OL2K
