OL2000: Text Missing from E-mail Message Sent to cc:Mail Client

SYMPTOMS

When you use the Microsoft Outlook Support for Lotus cc:Mail, to send e- mail with an attachment to a recipient using a Lotus cc:Mail client or a Lotus Notes client, the attachment appears in the message received but the message text may be missing.


CAUSE

You sent the message using Plain Text or HTML as the message format.


RESOLUTION

Change the Outlook default message format to "Microsoft Outlook Rich Text" and change the Lotus cc:Mail service default delivery property to "Send using Microsoft Exchange rich text format."

To change the Outlook default message format, follow these steps:

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options.


  2. On the Mail Format tab, under Message Format, click "Microsoft Outlook Rich Text" in the "Send in this message format" list.


  3. Click OK.


To change the Lotus cc:Mail service default delivery property, follow these steps:

  1. On the Tools menu, click Services.


  2. Click to select the Lotus cc:Mail service and click Properties.


  3. On the Delivery tab, click to select the "Send using Microsoft Exchange rich text format" check box.
