OL2000: How to Convert TalkWorks Address Book to Outlook Contacts

SUMMARY

TalkWorks is a program integrated with Symantec WinFax Pro. Among other functions, it maintains an address book of contacts used by the telephone dialer.



This article describes how to import the TalkWorks address book entries into Microsoft Outlook Contacts.


MORE INFORMATION

TalkWorks uses an address file with an extension of .wfb. To convert this file to Outlook contacts, use WinFax Pro to export the .wfb file to a .dbf file and then import the .dbf file into Outlook.

To Import the .dbf File into Outlook

  1. On the File menu, click Import And Export.


  2. Click to select "Import from another program or file" and click Next.


  3. Click to select dBase and click Next.


  4. Browse to the .dbf file exported from WinFax Pro and click Next.


  5. Click to select the Contacts folder and click Next.


  6. Click Finish.
