  • Microsoft Outlook 2000

SYMPTOMS

If you use Outlook to create a custom form that includes a control, the control grid may continue to appear after you quit design mode. This behavior usually occurs with the Frame or MultiPage control.

CAUSE

Outlook forms exhibit this behavior when you turn off the form grid and turn on the control grid before exiting design mode.

WORKAROUND

Follow these steps to prevent the grid from appearing when you are not in design mode:

  1. Open the form.

  2. On the Tools menu, point to Forms, and then click Design This Form.

  3. Right-click the control that displays the grid.

  4. Click to clear the Show Grid check box.

  5. On the Form menu, click Run This Form.

Any toolbox control capable of displaying a grid can have this problem.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
