SYMPTOMSYou are using Outlook to access an Internet mail service over a local area network (LAN) and Microsoft Internet Explorer as a Web browser over a Dial-Up Networking (DUN) connection. You notice that when you open Outlook to send and receive e-mail, an Internet Explorer dialer window appears, even though the Outlook profile or account does not reference the DUN connection. RESOLUTIONClick Cancel or press ESC to dismiss the Internet Explorer dialer window. The LAN connection is not affected by the presence of the dialer.
