In About Microsoft Outlook you should see "Internet Mail Only" if you have the Internet Mail Only option installed. SYMPTOMSCreating a rule to change the Importance property of a message coming from an IMAP server causes two copies of the message to be created on the server and two message headers are downloaded to your computer. CAUSEThis behavior is by design. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. MORE INFORMATION
Modifying the Importance or any other property of an IMAP-based message requires that a new message be created and uploaded to the server. The old message is marked for deletion but remains on the server until the user initiates a purge of deleted items. Both messages headers will be downloaded even though one is marked for deletion.
