NOTE: These procedures only apply if you have installed Outlook with the Internet Mail Only option. To determine your installation type, on the Help menu click About Microsoft Outlook. In About Microsoft Outlook you should see "Internet Mail Only" if you have the Internet Mail Only option installed. SYMPTOMSAfter upgrading from Microsoft Outlook 97 or Outlook 98, when you view your accounts on the the Accounts command under the Tools menu, your old Internet mail accounts are not listed. CAUSEDuring Setup you chose to not upgrade Outlook 97 or 98. RESOLUTIONEither add the accounts manually or use the Import Wizard to import and verify the account information. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Outlook 2000. MORE INFORMATIONUnder normal circumstances earlier versions of Outlook will be detected and upgraded, with the accounts being rolled over to the new version of Outlook . If you choose to keep the installed versions of Outlook 97 or 98, instead of updating the old program, your mail accounts will not be migrated to Outlook 2000. There are two ways to correct the situation after this has taken place. You can recreate the mail accounts, or import the old account information.
