OL2000: Error Publishing Internet Free/Busy Information to an FTP Site

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to publish your Free/Busy information to an FTP site, you may get the following error message:

An error occurred publishing your Internet Free/Busy data. Could not connect to FTP site. The URL was <ftp site address>.


CAUSE

The FTP site which you are addressing has anonymous login disabled.


RESOLUTION

Enable anonymous login on the FTP site or include the username and password in the ftp address.


MORE INFORMATION

The proper address format for an FTP site that has anonymous login disabled is as follows:

ftp://<User>:<Password>@ftp.user@host.domain.com/Usersfolder/Freebusy/Myname.vfb
where <User> is the Username of the account and <Password> is the password associated with the account.
