IMPORTANT: This article contains information about editing the registry. Before you edit the registry, make sure you understand how to restore it if a problem occurs. SUMMARY

This article describes how to add a registry entry that can toggle the option to either print, or not print the tracking information associated with a message.

MORE INFORMATION

When sending an e-mail message in Outlook, you can set an option to notify you when the message is read by the recipient. If you have installed Outlook in the Corporate/Workgroup (CW) mode, you can also be notified when the message is delivered, and you can utilize voting buttons in a message to gather information from the addressees. The results of the delivery, reading, and voting is recorded on a Tracking page of the message, and stored in your Sent Items folder.

If the message is printed, this tracking information is printed along with the message by default. The registry entry described below, allows you to toggle the printing of this tracking information on or off.

WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.

For information about how to edit the registry, view the "Changing Keys and Values" Help topic in Registry Editor (Regedit.exe) or the "Add and Delete Information in the Registry" and "Edit Registry Data" Help topics in Regedt32.exe. Note that you should back up the registry before you edit it. If you are running Windows NT, you should also update your Emergency Repair Disk (ERD).
