SYMPTOMSAfter installing Outlook on a computer running Microsoft Windows 98, you decide to install and configure Microsoft Fax. After running Awfax.exe from the Windows 98 compact disc, you find that the Request a Fax shortcut was not added to the items on the Start menu. RESOLUTIONManually create the shortcut and add it the Start menu. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. Windows cannot create a shortcut here. C:\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Accessories\Fax.Drag the shortcut created in Step 3 to the pane with the Compose New Fax and Cover Page Editor shortcuts. NOTE: For clarification, you may wish to rename the shortcut. To accomplish this, right-click the icon and then click Rename. Edit the text of the shortcut to read "Request a Fax."
